Of course, I've been reading Robin Givhan's daily reports from NY Fashion Week. They're so much more personable than her regular articles (not that I'm not a fan, I am, but...). My favorite, which just couldn't be made up, to describe her seatmate at the Zac Posen show:
Even socialites have bad hair days and so she had her dark brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was also wearing enough expensive jewelry -- major diamonds at the neck and wrist, serious stones on her fingers -- to distract from any fly-away hair or frizzies. "Who'll notice if you're having a bad hair day if you put on the jewels!" she exclaimed. We liked her right away.
Now...to figure out how to "put on the jewels" on a budget.
Badass doesn't have an expiration date. But bad fashion and Go-Gurts do.
