I'm not crazy - Robin's not excited, either

I may not know what I'm talking about as a "fashionista," but I do know what I like. I've been pouring over the fashion mags, and haven't seen anything I'm particularly excited about. Nada. It's all relativley wearable - almost too wearable. Nothing exciting, nothing that reaches or pushes.

I have to say that it does make me feel a little vindicated that Robin Givhan's reports from Fashion Week express her disappointment, too. I love exploration, I love the stretch of haute couture. Not that New York Fashion Week is about h.c., but I do expect American spirit - what makes us us as Americans - and from what I can tell from Robin's report, it's just not there.

I know what you mean. Usually I read the fashion mags and have to think of ways to incorporate the new styles into my everyday wear. This next season though, seems very wearable. You are right.

Yeah, but wearable isn't exciting...too wearable doesn't work for me, either - I need that little bit of funk. We'll see...
