Style in Print: The Power of Style

I cannot tell a lie - this is cribbed directly from today's DC Scout newsletter - and it's one I wish I could attend...fascinating stuff...

What: Get a crash course on the power of style during a talk with Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan, Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth and author A'Lelia Bundles. The discussion will cover sartorial history from the time of Bundles's great-grandmother, Harlem Renaissance-era socialite A'Lelia Walker, to today's political power brokers.

When: Friday, 16 May, 7 p.m.

Where: Barnes & Noble, 3040 M St. NW. Free.
