Style Dilemma: Leopard Peep-Toes

Kim posted this question: So I am on the lookout for a pair of peep toe lepard pumps. But, since they are trendy to some degree, I am not ready to spend big bucks. Any advice on how to get the look for less?

Kim, have no fear. Fortunately, the world's mass production people have jumped on every trend in the world so those of Us Without Drivers can still live it up and have some fun with Fashion.

First stop - Payless. Yup, Payless. Lyla, top right, is an amazing steal at 18 smackeroos. Throw on a pair of solid color tights, and you're good to go.

Next stop, my personal favorite, Target. The Mossimo Dysis might be a little bit warmer in the winter, and the wooden platform is a modern detail. Costs you a little more, at 30 bucks.

And jumping up the scale, Guess's version goes a little more 40s, a little more va-va-voom. They're almost $90, but really, in my opinion, leopard and peep toe aren't trendy. They're classic, ladylike, and sexy. They go with just about everything, barring lots and lots of prints - and even that's debatable.

So Kim, let us know what you find - and what you wear them with the first time you take them out on the town.

Love that you show an option from Target! No reason why looking fabulous has to cost a fortune...

Oops, I meant Payless, not Target...

Hey DCC! Your #1 fan here from Bab's party.

Love the Payless and Guess pairs, but I fear that the stacked heel on the Target pair will look slightly cheesy. Target uses a very light colored material on their stacked heels that look great online, but in person, not so much. They had a cutie "patent leather" peeptoe that looked great from far away, but upclose, the stacked heel was Boo!

Go Payless, my friends.
