Well-Done: Skinny Jeans on Curves

Chatting with a colleague in her cube this morning, and Lebanese Princess comes by.

"Look at you, looking me up and down," she says to me.

Caught. She looks great. Really well done take on casual Friday to incorporate "skinny jeans" for the office.

Her secret? They're not skinny jeans. They're straight legged. But on her curves, they hug in all the right places and just make her look fabulous.

The layered button-down with big cuffs and sweater finish it off nicely.

Well-Done: Office Style & Panache

Props to Baby B today. We've had a particuarly full week of Big Official Meetings with all sorts of VPs and random people who think they're very important people (lower case). Because she's in the thick of all of the hulabaloo, Baby B's rather visible. Always impeccably dressed, she outdid herself today simply with her top selection.

This cute little Forever 21 number is the epitome of a little bit of style in an office-appropriate way that won't make the Big Execs wonder. And, as she points out, it's the perfect work-to-happy-hour garment.

High-end style, sweetly detailed, professional colors, all for 14.80. Who could ask for anything more?

Well Done: New Cycling Fashion

Spring's not quite here (I don't trust it yet), but everyone's dusting off the sandals and the shorts to relish the sunshine.

Happy lady today - saw an adorable outfit today on Connecticut Avenue. Black & white flower print a-line skirt, black boatneck, 3/4 sleeve T, and white ankle tie espadrille wedges. She topped it off with a gutsy white & black hat - a bike helmet.

She was cycling to work on an old-school road bike. The only thing missing was the basket on the front.
